Springer previously helped the Houston Astros winning the World Series in the 2017 season.
The Toronto Blue Jays reached their initial championship series following 1993 by beating the Seattle Mariners in the seventh seventh game of the AL Championship Series.
Down 3-1, the star outfielder hit a three-run blast in the seventh inning, propelling the only Canadian franchise in the majors to a four games to three victory in the best-of-seven series. They will now face the Dodgers, holders of the reigning title, in the forthcoming Fall Classic.
"I'm just so happy for our team, the city, our country," Springer stated, a key player of the Houston Astros team that won the 2017 World Series. "This is such an amazing experience."
Springer has now slugged twenty-three playoff homers, placing him third in history after Ramirez (29) and Jose Altuve (twenty-seven).
"There's probably not another player on planet Earth that I'd prefer in that situation except for Springer with his playoff prowess," said Schneider.
Seattle, despite leading the series 2-0 and 3-2, are still the sole team yet to make an appearance in a championship series.
Wilson stated "certainly that it hurts" after his team's loss at Toronto's Rogers Centre, but praised their performance in the campaign.
"This is a unique group. It's a shame that we ended up on the wrong side of this game," he remarked.
Toronto's team won the World Series on their two prior appearances in 1992 and 1993, and will host the Dodgers in the first game on Friday.
